Donate to SIPA
SIPA supports the students and teachers of the CUSD two-way bilingual immersion program from kindergarten through 12th grade. We are different from our wonderful PTO organizations in that we provide advocacy and aid directly to the program and your student’s immersion classroom.
SIPA’s annual budget helps our students and teachers in the following ways:
-
Amity Interns: We are funding two Amity Scholars, student teachers from Spanish-speaking countries. This year, in addition to an Amity working in immersion classrooms at Hatch Elementary School, we will again have an Amity assigned exclusively to Cunha Intermediate School. Amities assist teachers, which allow for one-on-one work and small groups. They also provide cross-cultural experiences for all students.
-
Teacher Stipend and Supplies: We provide classroom stipends to all immersion faculty for Spanish-language materials and professional development opportunities.
-
Community Events: Fiesta! This year we would like to purchase costumes for the classroom performances.
-
Scholarships: We award college scholarships to the graduating Half Moon Bay High School immersion students.
SIPA's Annual Giving Donation
We ask that families donate $100 per immersion student to SIPA to support the immersion program at Hatch Elementary School, Cunha Intermediate School and Half Moon Bay High School. However, any amount is appreciated.
